Have you not looked elsewhere for a cure? Or tried capturing those who have turned until you can find a method to protect those who have not? Believe me, I understand the threat of Daedra worship more than most, but Hircine's hunters are well-known to spread the illness to entirely innocent men. I cannot claim to understand the will or intent of the Daedra. But... supposedly, they came looking for something in particular. [Or. Someone. But he's super not comfortable with the fact that it was very likely him they were after, and that his continued presence makes him a threat. That and he doesn't want to mention that they're trying to usurp the bloodline. Some random stranger doesn't really need to know the political danger the Empire is in.] The fact that they did not find it leads me to believe that they will continue to search elsewhere until they do.
