[Although, he thinks, other options remain. He can't butt into the affairs of a town he has no rule over, of course, but it doesn't stop the thought from nagging at the back of his head. They could evacuate the healthy, they could just restrain the beasts, they could-- but surely they are doing all they can in that situation.
