This is the official test drive for Visitants! Feel free to use this as to gather samples (8 comments from your char) or voicetest. Reserves open March 30th. Feel free to hit up our FAQ if you have any questions.

1 - Count Chocula
You find yourself awoken in a long-abandoned cabin, far too dusty for anyone's comfort and cobwebs practically coating the wall. Once you leave the cabin, you find yourself in a town in the middle of the woods that's...not looking much better. There are others here in similar situations, however, maybe you should look at them?

2 - Frankenberry
Day-to-day living in town is...simple enough. Try and escape and you'll just get lost in the woods until you find your way back. You're also a bit limited in terms of...comfort. There's not a lot here in the way of entertainment, but it seems as though you'll have enough to do in order to keep yourselves busy.

For you see, unlike other murdergames, the restaurant has been long-abandoned. While there are a limited amount of rations around the town should you scavenge, and a small supply in your room appears now and then to keep you from starving, you'll have to hunt should you want to keep hunger away. Fortunately, there are bows and arrows available...

For the less hunt-inclined members of the group, you can find something to do. Gather wood for campfires,  tend to the camp, and there's a limited amount of fertile ground available for crops. Surely you can find something to do to improve life here.

3 - Boo Berry
Congrats! Somebody did a murder. Maybe it was even you. Maybe it was one of your friends. Maybe the victim was your brother. Might want to look into that, maybe?

4 - Fruit Brute
...This place is haunted. You come to this conclusion based on the fact that either you got caught during a trial, and you wake up as a ghost, or your dead friend who was killed is now floating around like it's nothing. Might have to adjust to life as a ghost.

5 - Fruity Yummy Mummy
For all the spooky prompts you wanna do that we don't have.

Alright... no King's Knight here, so I guess it's time to find something to do.

[ luckily, noct is used to having to rough it. thanks, gladio. your preference for camping and their hundreds of hunts have been good practice. he's weighing one of the bows in his hand, and he's got a quiver of arrows on his back. he wanders around a little bit to find someone to join him. maybe it's... you? ]

Hey. Need someone to watch your back?

[ or maybe he's out all alone; noctis is creeping along, eyes on his prey. ]

C'mon. Don't run away now, alright?

[ ah. it's a couple days after the trial, and noctis feels like he's being... watched...

he whirls around, looking at his surroundings. ]

Come out, whoever the hell you are!

Huh?

[Syaoran blinks several times, caught completely off guard by someone asking if he needs help and normally he'd refuse the help, since he doesn't know what's out there, not to mention he's not entirely confident in his own skills to do the same even though he wants to say he is, butー]

I don't mind. [he sure as hell will try, even if his answer comes off awkwardly] If that's okay.

[Nailed it.]

[nightcure]

[ man... a kid all alone? noctis can't leave him, even if he wanted to. ]

Yeah, of course. I offered for a reason. What's your name? I'm Noctis.

[jianhand]

[Look, he's not used to strangers being kind to him?? Especially adults. It's weird.]

It's Li. [He tries standing straighter, if only in an attempt to look more confident.] Li Syaoran.

[And it's there that he gives what seems to be a short introductory bow, trying his best to be polite.]

So... Noctis, [he tries out the name, although he's fretting a bit] what were you planning on doing out here?

[Besides helping him, apparently, since we're doing that now.]

Nice to meet you, Li.

[ he's absolutely keeping an eye on him? he doesn't know what li can do, combat-wise, if anything at all, but he's so.... young. ]

I was going to go try to find some food. I'm running low.

[jianhand]

[Well, he's going to find out at some point! ...Probably, anyway.]

Have you ever hunted for food before?

[Trying to stick to casual conversation, even if he isn't necessarily good at it. He doesn't speak much, but he's determined to know as his eyes light up with curiosity.]

[nightcure]

Yeah, tons of times. On the road, my friends and I used to hunt for our food all the time.

What about you? Know how to use a bow and arrow?

[jianhand]

Huh.

[He doesn't mean to say that out loud but he ends up doing it anyway. He does however, wind up shaking his head at the question.]

I've never used a bow and arrow before.

[Only swords, but hell if he'll immediately admit that.]

[nightcure]

I've used a crossbow, but... can't be too hard, right?

[ he offers li a smile and hands over a bow. ]

We'll learn together.

[jianhand]

[He nods a little sheepishly as he takes the bow, looking at it with a bit of scrutiny as he tugs a bit on the drawstring as if to test it out.]

At least we know they won't break easily... I think.

[nightcure]

Yeah, definitely. If anything, there are enough of them.

[ he hands over a quiver, too. ]

You think we've got enough arrows?

[jianhand]

It's kind of weird that they have all of this...

[But at the same time it isn't terribly surprising. Syaoran takes the quiver and slings it over his shoulder, looking at the amount and counting.]

But this should be a good amount if we don't waste it.

[montages]

[ prompto's been lurking around, watching over noct to make sure nobody hurts him, but he's ashamed that he couldn't make it out of here alive.

he shouldn't have been so careless. he feels like he let noct down.

it's why he hasn't said anything to him and why he's been avoiding him. but he's still keeping an eye on him. prompto's got his back, and he always will.

but noct's getting aggressive, and prompto thinks he's probably creeping him the hell out, so he finally decides to show himself. ]

...Hey, buddy.

[nightcure]

[ he hears prompto's voice, and his heart stops. he'd never thought he'd see him again, not after he'd seen prompto dead, his face white and body cold.

... he must be dreaming. or hallucinating. ]

Prompto?

[montages]

[ prompto wants to believe that noct's saying his name out of concern and not disappointment. a small part of him thinks it's the latter.

he floats over so he's in front of noct, not sure if the other boy can see him or not, but he's here. ]

Y-Yeah. It's me, Noct. I'm here.

[nightcure]

[ his heart hurts. he couldn't protect prompto, just like he couldn't protect him on the damn train. noctis inhales sharply and shakily, and he curls one hand into a fist.

he reaches out with the other... and his hand passes through him. ]

Goddamnit.

I'm so sorry, Prompto.

[montages]

[ his eyes widen as noct reaches out for him, and prompto's heart aches when noct's hand phases through him. prompto frowns, and he wants to put a hand on noct's shoulder, but he knows that noct won't feel a thing.

so he just...hangs around. he's here, even if he's not alive anymore. ]

I'm the one who trusted him, Noct! I trusted Akechi!

[ and look what happened because of it. ]

I shouldn't have let my guard down...!

[nightcure]

[ he grits his teeth. hearing prompto blame himself for his own death, it's... it's painful, and noctis doesn't like it at all. ]

It's not your fault! All of us, we-- He tricked us all, okay? I just--

I should've been able to protect you, and I failed again, just like on the train.

[montages]

...C'mon... It's not your responsibility to look after me. I--I should've been more careful. I'm supposed to be the one watching your back, especially since Gladio and Iggy aren't here, but...

[ he wants to cry. he's so mad at himself. ]

I'm sorry, Noct.

[nightcure]

I know it's not my responsibility!

[ he pauses, draws in a sharp breath. he slides a hand over his face, and his throat is tight. ]

But I-- You're my best friend, Prompto. I didn't-- I didn't want you to have to suffer, okay? Besides, we watch each other's backs. We-- we always have.

[montages]

...Noct...

[ oh man. you're my best friend, prompto. there's something about those words that hits him right in his heart, and that's when prompto drops his hands to his sides and clenches them into fists.

there are tears rolling down his cheeks. ]

I-I'm gonna do whatever I can to make sure you're safe, okay?

[nightcure]

[ he's... angry. angry that he can't even comfort his friend, that he can't even touch him. he's angry that they were brought here, that prompto was targeted because he trusted someone. ]

... Yeah. [ his voice shakes, and he swallows hard. ] Yeah. I... I know you're watching over me, Prompto.

... Thanks.

[montages]

Heh...

[ he wipes his eyes with the back of his hands before folding them across his chest. ]

Ever at your side. Even as a ghost. Spirit. Whatever this is.

[nightcure]

... Hah.

[ his smile is shaky. ]

Are you getting sappy on me, Prompto?

[montages]

Dude, come on! Let me have my moment!

[ prompto's voice isn't as energetic as it should be, but he's trying. he wants to be able to talk to noct like they always have. ]
