test drive
This is the official test drive for Visitants! Feel free to use this as to gather samples (8 comments from your char) or voicetest. Reserves open March 30th. Feel free to hit up our FAQ if you have any questions.
Please list your character's name (canon also recommended) in the header of your top-level prompt.
1 - Count Chocula
You find yourself awoken in a long-abandoned cabin, far too dusty for anyone's comfort and cobwebs practically coating the wall. Once you leave the cabin, you find yourself in a town in the middle of the woods that's...not looking much better. There are others here in similar situations, however, maybe you should look at them?
2 - Frankenberry
Day-to-day living in town is...simple enough. Try and escape and you'll just get lost in the woods until you find your way back. You're also a bit limited in terms of...comfort. There's not a lot here in the way of entertainment, but it seems as though you'll have enough to do in order to keep yourselves busy.
For you see, unlike other murdergames, the restaurant has been long-abandoned. While there are a limited amount of rations around the town should you scavenge, and a small supply in your room appears now and then to keep you from starving, you'll have to hunt should you want to keep hunger away. Fortunately, there are bows and arrows available...
For the less hunt-inclined members of the group, you can find something to do. Gather wood for campfires, tend to the camp, and there's a limited amount of fertile ground available for crops. Surely you can find something to do to improve life here.
3 - Boo Berry
Congrats! Somebody did a murder. Maybe it was even you. Maybe it was one of your friends. Maybe the victim was your brother. Might want to look into that, maybe?
4 - Fruit Brute
...This place is haunted. You come to this conclusion based on the fact that either you got caught during a trial, and you wake up as a ghost, or your dead friend who was killed is now floating around like it's nothing. Might have to adjust to life as a ghost.
5 - Fruity Yummy Mummy
For all the spooky prompts you wanna do that we don't have.
Keep in mind that posting in the test drive does not represent a commitment to join our game. You're welcome to play here even if you can't app. Playing here does not guarantee a slot in the game, nor does it count as a reserve.

Walder | Granblue Fantasy
[Perhaps you were expecting people to approach this situation with caution and take things slowly in this situation so they don't run into danger and die. That... would be an incorrect impression when it came to one particular person here, however, as a long-haired man busts right out of the door to his cabin and... makes fingerguns.]
I don't know what you're playing at, but know this: Forest Ranger Walder will get to the bottom of this!
2
[Well... now that he's got a better idea of what the situation is, Walder is... trying to make the best of things. He's certainly not happy with the mayor's little incentive, but... hey! He's a Forest Ranger! His job is to protect people, and he'll swear on his honor that he'll do it! And to do that... well, he can do his best to provide for the other people stranded here, since he's trained in sustainable hunting and gathering herbs and berries and whatnot.
But, as the saying goes, why give them fish when you can teach them to fish? So, around a time when people are meandering through the main area of the town, he takes a stand!]
Good afternoon, everyone! Your friendly neighborhood forest ranger has a special announcement... I'm giving out ranger lessons!
2
He knows the offer is a charitable one, but he still feels foolish even responding to it, perhaps just because he knows full well it's a skill he should have picked up years ago (and could have, had he not had his head buried in books for so long). He's a bit wary about just accepting it as a result, but even then he can't fully commit to turning down an offer to learn something that might help them.]
I assume that includes hunting-- archery. [A hesitant beat.] How willing are you to teach someone who's never held a bow before?
no subject
[...Walder does pause a moment, though...]
I will admit that I'm a bit more used to using guns than bows, though. The differences are subtle but significant!
no subject
[Guns don't really exist where he's from and he's slightly intimidated by them.]
Hunting with a dagger has simply proven to be rather ineffective. And as of right now it's all I know.
no subject
1
Forest Ranger?
...Do you know anything about this forest, then?
[ He has no idea what a Forest Ranger is or what they do, but maybe they know a lot about forests? ]
no subject
[...you know, the fairly calm question actually kind of stops Walder in mid-tirade and he needs to reboot a second, because usually people don't no-sell him being a massive weirdo as much... and also because he kind of needs to look over at the forest for a second.]
...Not this forest in particular, I'm afraid! If it was a forest I knew, I'd probably know this village. I know a lot about forests in general, though!
no subject
[ Ventus has just seen a lot of unique people and has just woken up, so he just really is a lot of 'well okay' to a lot of strange things but once he gets his bearings it'll likely wear off... ]
Okay. Do you know how to find your way out of a forest if you become lost? Even if you don't know about the forest?
[ He needs to know just in case he wants to run around and explore. Or something!! ]
no subject
[...
UHHHHHHH WAIT]
Oh, but we should probably figure out where we are first!
no subject
[ He looks around... ]
But before that, maybe we should do introductions?
[ He smiles sheepishly. ]
no subject
[he strikes a SWEET POSE.]
no subject
[ Something about that pose reminds him of something but at the moment his head's kind of still too fuzzy to recall. ]
I guess since we still don't know where this is this might be a good time to walk around and see if there's something that can tell us where we are?
