test drive
This is the official test drive for Visitants! Feel free to use this as to gather samples (8 comments from your char) or voicetest. Reserves open March 30th. Feel free to hit up our FAQ if you have any questions.
Please list your character's name (canon also recommended) in the header of your top-level prompt.
1 - Count Chocula
You find yourself awoken in a long-abandoned cabin, far too dusty for anyone's comfort and cobwebs practically coating the wall. Once you leave the cabin, you find yourself in a town in the middle of the woods that's...not looking much better. There are others here in similar situations, however, maybe you should look at them?
2 - Frankenberry
Day-to-day living in town is...simple enough. Try and escape and you'll just get lost in the woods until you find your way back. You're also a bit limited in terms of...comfort. There's not a lot here in the way of entertainment, but it seems as though you'll have enough to do in order to keep yourselves busy.
For you see, unlike other murdergames, the restaurant has been long-abandoned. While there are a limited amount of rations around the town should you scavenge, and a small supply in your room appears now and then to keep you from starving, you'll have to hunt should you want to keep hunger away. Fortunately, there are bows and arrows available...
For the less hunt-inclined members of the group, you can find something to do. Gather wood for campfires, tend to the camp, and there's a limited amount of fertile ground available for crops. Surely you can find something to do to improve life here.
3 - Boo Berry
Congrats! Somebody did a murder. Maybe it was even you. Maybe it was one of your friends. Maybe the victim was your brother. Might want to look into that, maybe?
4 - Fruit Brute
...This place is haunted. You come to this conclusion based on the fact that either you got caught during a trial, and you wake up as a ghost, or your dead friend who was killed is now floating around like it's nothing. Might have to adjust to life as a ghost.
5 - Fruity Yummy Mummy
For all the spooky prompts you wanna do that we don't have.
Keep in mind that posting in the test drive does not represent a commitment to join our game. You're welcome to play here even if you can't app. Playing here does not guarantee a slot in the game, nor does it count as a reserve.

Hey, do you mind keeping your food in your mouth? Some of us here can't exactly eat.
[He just barely lifts his face out of the ground, irked.]
You seriously expect to get out of here?
no subject
[Aku finishes a big chunk of it before resuming speaking like the Big Ham he is.]
Of course, they're bluffing!
I'm sure there was an error in trapping me here, but I will take it as a front row seat for the Almighty Aku.
no subject
[That makes him get up--well, maybe get up isn't the correct term here. He more just sort of...does that thing in video games when characters do an animation to get up off the ground and their limbs sort of disappear into the floor. He's floating right on up to Aku's face, gesturing to himself.]
In case you didn't know, I'm dead because of their bluffing. Hell, as far as we know, they're going to keep us here until we either starve to death or kill each other out of desperation that they might keep their promise and let us go!
[He jabs a finger at Aku, but the effect is lost when his arm phases right through his chest. He immediately pulls it back out, looking a bit startled.] Eugh. That's really freakin' weird.
no subject
[What is this human sympathy you speak of.
Okay so maybe he's been nerfed to hell, but aku is certain he'll survive this game. Murder is kid's play, right?]
This is intriguing, but a little tame. Not enough theatrics, no big dramatic exit, nothing. They should at least put in some effort, I agree.
[Nods sagely. Juno Steel, you are so wise you might as well be among Aku's favourites.]
no subject
[Juno scoffs, crossing his arms.]
I mean, why even bother bringing this many people from who-knows-where to this town, this planet? What is the point in killing them off, one-by-one? Back on Mars, they had more than a few reality shows on the streams featuring this sort of bloodbath, but here? There's no cameras, no nothing.
[He leans back a bit, scratching his chin.]
There's gotta be something, some reason that they're keeping us here for this. But I just...can't figure it out.
no subject
[He already has, honestly- or more like they come to him, after Aku fucks up their homes away from Earth. But enough about him, the mortal raises an interesting point]
It's not even death by gladiatorial combat. Here's my theory:
[The demon steeples his fingers and furrows his GREAT, FLAMING EYEBROWS in contemplation.]
...They have a boring idea of fun!
im just assuming aku has told him about Stuff before
...I. I don't think that's the only reason? You really think they'd go through all this trouble just for fun? I mean, I've met some real twisted people before but they always had a reason for doing things...even if it was flimsy.
[Like, it takes EFFORT for interplanetary travel, not to mention the implications of interdimensional stuff.]
hell yea dude-
Hmmmm Perhaps.
Personally, I have no need for sacrifices in rituals like this other than for fun. Whoever's magic is strong enough to hinder me, yet weak that it needs fresh blood.
[It's unique, but boy does he hate having a chunk of his own powers gone. Aku strokes his beard in contemplation.]
Necromancy?
heck yea ..........
[it is ur destny.......!]You say that as if you've partaken in such activities before. Which would...really not be surprising.
[Normally, Juno would have scoffed at the mere suggestion, but the more time he spent here, the more he was seriously questioning the rules of reality in this world.]
M...Maybe? Seen any evidence of cults or freakish chanting in the area? Who knows--maybe this whole thing's just a set up to give a lonely ghost more friends.
no subject
[An eldritch being like him has no use for it, so his tone is full of distaste and annoyance. Luckily for him, he hasn't been beaten with it directly. Unluckily for him, this civil interaction is the closest he's had to a friendship, and that's absolutely sad.]
Isolation will probably drive anybody nuts.
