test drive
This is the official test drive for Visitants! Feel free to use this as to gather samples (8 comments from your char) or voicetest. Reserves open March 30th. Feel free to hit up our FAQ if you have any questions.
Please list your character's name (canon also recommended) in the header of your top-level prompt.
1 - Count Chocula
You find yourself awoken in a long-abandoned cabin, far too dusty for anyone's comfort and cobwebs practically coating the wall. Once you leave the cabin, you find yourself in a town in the middle of the woods that's...not looking much better. There are others here in similar situations, however, maybe you should look at them?
2 - Frankenberry
Day-to-day living in town is...simple enough. Try and escape and you'll just get lost in the woods until you find your way back. You're also a bit limited in terms of...comfort. There's not a lot here in the way of entertainment, but it seems as though you'll have enough to do in order to keep yourselves busy.
For you see, unlike other murdergames, the restaurant has been long-abandoned. While there are a limited amount of rations around the town should you scavenge, and a small supply in your room appears now and then to keep you from starving, you'll have to hunt should you want to keep hunger away. Fortunately, there are bows and arrows available...
For the less hunt-inclined members of the group, you can find something to do. Gather wood for campfires, tend to the camp, and there's a limited amount of fertile ground available for crops. Surely you can find something to do to improve life here.
3 - Boo Berry
Congrats! Somebody did a murder. Maybe it was even you. Maybe it was one of your friends. Maybe the victim was your brother. Might want to look into that, maybe?
4 - Fruit Brute
...This place is haunted. You come to this conclusion based on the fact that either you got caught during a trial, and you wake up as a ghost, or your dead friend who was killed is now floating around like it's nothing. Might have to adjust to life as a ghost.
5 - Fruity Yummy Mummy
For all the spooky prompts you wanna do that we don't have.
Keep in mind that posting in the test drive does not represent a commitment to join our game. You're welcome to play here even if you can't app. Playing here does not guarantee a slot in the game, nor does it count as a reserve.

this crossover nobody wanted
--well. Not like it matters anymore.
Either way, Lestrade knows better than to stop him, which is why he does the next best thing.]
Oy! Watson!
[He shouts to him as he runs up to catch up from behind.]
im just assuming theyve had the chance to meet already and discuss the whole Multiple Universes shit
By now, he'd learned that this Lestrade was about as tenacious as the one he'd known, and it doesn't take more than a few seconds for Watson to figure out what he's planning to do.]
You've been through these woods already, I take it? ... You willing to show me around?
pretty much ayy
Doctor Whoscience fiction shows made him more acceptable of this whole multiple universe shenanigans. Even if knowing it applies to him is still kinda weird.Anyway.]
Ah--yeah. [He comes to a stop beside Watson, then takes a moment to catch his breath. He is still fit enough, but it doesn't change the fact that he's over fifty. Definitely not as spry as he used to be.] Looked around the other day. And considering stuff... [Lestrade trails off to a shrug.] Just thought company might be a good idea.
no subject
He waits politely for Lestrade to catch his breath. Watson's used to the Lestrade back home being able to keep up with him and Holmes, but the Lestrade that Watson knows is also best described as a "ferret-y little man" and only a few years older than himself. Neither of which is the case for this Lestrade.
God, this really is a mess.
He nods- a little too sharply- at Lestrade's words.
This may be his idea, but Watson's still more than a little wary of what the forest has to offer.]
Company... Company's good, yeah. You have a weapon, I'm sure?
[Watson pats at the pocket where his revolver usually is, its absence weighing on him. He's put a dagger in its place, but it's not the same. And everyone's already claimed the scarce few muskets in the camp.]
no subject
Well, Sherlock.
It's not the same but nevertheless--he feels like he should do something, somehow.]
Yeah. [He pats at his own coat, at where his own hunting knife rests. He definitely misses his own gun, but there's not much he can do. Also muskets have a terrible design.] Not much, but better than nothing.
no subject
[Watson looks into the forest- even in daylight, it feels horribly sinister. The branches reach into the sky like grasping fingers, and the foreboding darkness deeper into the woods appears almost tangible.
Still. Nothing to do but brave it. He takes the first few steps forward, glancing behind him as if to reassure himself that Lestrade hasn't disappeared in that brief few moments.]
no subject
Though the Hound was nothing but an illusion Lestrade doesn't know if the same can apply here. But at the same time there are greater horrors than monsters that lurk in the dark.
He steps forward after Watson does, glancing back at him when his gaze shifts back. Lestrade gives his own nod, providing whatever reassurance he can give. He may be just as lost, but at this with this he can do something, and its better than sitting down and twiddling his thumbs.]
no subject
and then they both fucking died the end][The woods are thick, and Watson trips over debris more than he'd like to admit. The trees grow close together- the romantic in him wants to describe it as a tender embrace, with the branches entangling into a dense canopy.
The underbrush is unforgiving, and there's no proper path that he can see, but Watson knows this is the route taken by the others on their hunting trips. He's perceptive enough to notice where the thickets have been trampled by the others, and follows in their footsteps.
He glances back.]
Still recognize where we are?
weekend ate me up soz
wouldn't that be amazing][The forest's trees are so close to one another, and the canopy is so thick that almost all the light is blocked out, plunging the space around them into an almost eerie twilight. Half the time Lestrade thinks he's about to trip over his feet or something else on the floor.
Though he supposes it could be worse, since a good part of the path has been evened out by use from the others. Lestrade makes a note to see if he can help clear out this path properly.]
More or less. [He hums quietly then turns back, facing forward.] Don't think we're in too deep yet.
