test drive
This is the official test drive for Visitants! Feel free to use this as to gather samples (8 comments from your char) or voicetest. Reserves open March 30th. Feel free to hit up our FAQ if you have any questions.
Please list your character's name (canon also recommended) in the header of your top-level prompt.
1 - Count Chocula
You find yourself awoken in a long-abandoned cabin, far too dusty for anyone's comfort and cobwebs practically coating the wall. Once you leave the cabin, you find yourself in a town in the middle of the woods that's...not looking much better. There are others here in similar situations, however, maybe you should look at them?
2 - Frankenberry
Day-to-day living in town is...simple enough. Try and escape and you'll just get lost in the woods until you find your way back. You're also a bit limited in terms of...comfort. There's not a lot here in the way of entertainment, but it seems as though you'll have enough to do in order to keep yourselves busy.
For you see, unlike other murdergames, the restaurant has been long-abandoned. While there are a limited amount of rations around the town should you scavenge, and a small supply in your room appears now and then to keep you from starving, you'll have to hunt should you want to keep hunger away. Fortunately, there are bows and arrows available...
For the less hunt-inclined members of the group, you can find something to do. Gather wood for campfires, tend to the camp, and there's a limited amount of fertile ground available for crops. Surely you can find something to do to improve life here.
3 - Boo Berry
Congrats! Somebody did a murder. Maybe it was even you. Maybe it was one of your friends. Maybe the victim was your brother. Might want to look into that, maybe?
4 - Fruit Brute
...This place is haunted. You come to this conclusion based on the fact that either you got caught during a trial, and you wake up as a ghost, or your dead friend who was killed is now floating around like it's nothing. Might have to adjust to life as a ghost.
5 - Fruity Yummy Mummy
For all the spooky prompts you wanna do that we don't have.
Keep in mind that posting in the test drive does not represent a commitment to join our game. You're welcome to play here even if you can't app. Playing here does not guarantee a slot in the game, nor does it count as a reserve.

no subject
[The word slips put of his mouth before he even realizes that he's ran face first into another person, and it's in that moment that he knows that he's made a terrible mistake. Which subsequently leads to him, falling onto his bottom for what seems to be the first time (questionable, considering his training) in a while.
Cursing himself internally for making such a simple mistake, he grumbles a bit as he checks his person first to make sure that he's not personally injured.
And subsequently sighs when he's fine.]
Yeah, I'm alrightー and sorry, [he says, finally jumping onto his feet in a way that befits a martial artist] It was my fault for not paying any attention myself.
no subject
[ flat picks himself up with a smile, making a silent ooh when he sees syaoran jump back to his feet so quickly. it's pretty neat! ]
My Professor always yells at me for running around like an idiot, but it's kinda hard not to when suddenly I'm transported in this abandoned place!
[ wait a second-- ]
Are you from here? Or are you lost, too?
no subject
But did he say transported? So he's not the only one that was brought hereー?]
No, [he replies easily to Flat's question with a shake of his head] I just got here, too. I don't know where this place is and how we can get back.
[Which is truly disheartening, for him, because he has something to go back to Someone he needs to return to, because he's always promised he would.]
Am I the first person you've run into?
no subject
[ he laughs sheepishly, not really reading the atmosphere surrounding syaoran. because he's like that. ]
Still, I got separated from them 'cause I wanted to investigate aaand I got lost. So I guess you could say I got double lost. [ he shrugs, and then adds ] This kind of place doesn't look like the one we can get out of, though. Creepy, no?
no subject
[He doesn't mean to say that aloud but he does anyway, raising a brow in confusion but also curiosity. Wait, if there's other people here, then maybeー]
You didn't happen to see a girl around my age, did you? Short brown hair, bright green eyes, goes by the name of "Sakura"?
[Please tell him you haven't seen her. This is the kind of place where she would get absolutely terrified. Not to mention that it looks haunted. He knows better than anyone else that she gets scared of ghosts, while they don't bother Syaoran as much.
However the idea of "can't get out" isn't exactly a familiar concept in Syaoran's mind.]
If we managed to get here, there has to be a way out. [Even if it's difficult.] We just have to look for it.
no subject
[ he puts his finger to his chin, recalling the people he's met...no, none of them fit that description.
he shakes his head. ]
Nope, haven't seen her.
[ but then syaoran continues to speak and...well, he makes a good point. there must be some sort of way out, but it doesn't seem like something that will come easily. it kind of reminds of those horror movies he's watched before. ]
Well, yeah, but...maybe we should see if we can find other people besides the ones I've met! It'll be better if we all try to find the exit together than just the two of us. Which I guess wouldn't be a problem if I could use my magecraft, but--
[ he shrugs. ] I suddenly can't use it anymore.
no subject
[He does at least agree that they should look for the entrance with anyone else that's lost, but he's also relieved that Sakura isn't here.
Thank whatever gods that she isn't.
But she's still dealing with a terrible ordeal which is a problem, so he needs to get back fast...]
Wait, did you say your magecraft doesn't work?
[He's a magician too??]
no subject
[ he sighs dramatically. he shouldn't be so upset over this, especially since he knows how to use normal technology...but it seems there's none of that either. ]
Are you a mage, too?
no subject
[Because CLAMP says his magic comes from the moon and nothing else but who the fuck knows how his magic actually works besides the fact that it does, somehow ー or at least it should, in any other circumstance except this one, as he claps his hands together as if to pull something out... but then nothing.]
--but yeah, I guess you could say that. But it seems that my powers got disabled somehow, too. Whoever brought us here must be really powerful.
