test drive
This is the official test drive for Visitants! Feel free to use this as to gather samples (8 comments from your char) or voicetest. Reserves open March 30th. Feel free to hit up our FAQ if you have any questions.
Please list your character's name (canon also recommended) in the header of your top-level prompt.
1 - Count Chocula
You find yourself awoken in a long-abandoned cabin, far too dusty for anyone's comfort and cobwebs practically coating the wall. Once you leave the cabin, you find yourself in a town in the middle of the woods that's...not looking much better. There are others here in similar situations, however, maybe you should look at them?
2 - Frankenberry
Day-to-day living in town is...simple enough. Try and escape and you'll just get lost in the woods until you find your way back. You're also a bit limited in terms of...comfort. There's not a lot here in the way of entertainment, but it seems as though you'll have enough to do in order to keep yourselves busy.
For you see, unlike other murdergames, the restaurant has been long-abandoned. While there are a limited amount of rations around the town should you scavenge, and a small supply in your room appears now and then to keep you from starving, you'll have to hunt should you want to keep hunger away. Fortunately, there are bows and arrows available...
For the less hunt-inclined members of the group, you can find something to do. Gather wood for campfires, tend to the camp, and there's a limited amount of fertile ground available for crops. Surely you can find something to do to improve life here.
3 - Boo Berry
Congrats! Somebody did a murder. Maybe it was even you. Maybe it was one of your friends. Maybe the victim was your brother. Might want to look into that, maybe?
4 - Fruit Brute
...This place is haunted. You come to this conclusion based on the fact that either you got caught during a trial, and you wake up as a ghost, or your dead friend who was killed is now floating around like it's nothing. Might have to adjust to life as a ghost.
5 - Fruity Yummy Mummy
For all the spooky prompts you wanna do that we don't have.
Keep in mind that posting in the test drive does not represent a commitment to join our game. You're welcome to play here even if you can't app. Playing here does not guarantee a slot in the game, nor does it count as a reserve.

John Doe | Batman: The Enemy Within
Hey, hey! Quick! Come over here!
[John immediately interrupts you in the middle of whatever you're doing, no matter how important, crucial, or life-changing it may be. The man has found an old-timey camera, and it still has some flim! He's intent on using it, and he wraps his arm around you, attempting to selfie.]
I need to capture the moment! You and me, best buds!
4.
[Rick Sanchez is dead.
...and John Doe is immediately set on pilfering through the man's labcoat, looking for any sort of resources or anything.]
Sure would suck to be this guy, am I right?
(ooc: potential spoilers for up to episode 3 of telltale batman season 2!)
5
May as well humor him. Rolling his eyes, he holds up his paw in a v-sign and poses for the camera. After holding the pose for approximately two seconds, he drops his arm at his side and tries to pull himself out of John's grip.]
no subject
Oh my goodness, that one's a keeper! Y'know, come to think of it, I don't think I've ever taken a selfie with a dog before! It's a first, too!
[He's not letting go. Not out of like, maliciousness, he's just aggressively friendly.]
no subject
...Wait. Where did he get a camera? He gives the man a quizzical look--shouldn't he be helping gather supplies or doing other productive things? Once again, Gromit tugs a little harder at John's arm, trying to signal him to let go.]
no subject
[Okay. He'll let the dog go. This time.]
I found this old thing scavenging! And, well...you can't fault a guy for wanting to make some memories with his new friends, right?
no subject
Gromit tilts his head to the side, his brow furrowing. New friends. He'd be more trusting towards all of these strangers if it weren't for the fact that any of them could decide to kill each other at the drop of a hat. At least Wallace wasn't here--Gromit worries far too much about his safety on any given day, much less in a place like this.
He wonders how he's doing while he's away. Hopefully not trying to kill himself with another invention.
Anyways. Memories. He doesn't know what John's life is like--maybe he just really desperately needs a distraction from all this doom and gloom. So Gromit motions for the camera--it seems he wants to see if John has taken any other photographs.]
no subject
Well, ya see, I don't - I can't exactly keep photos on me, and this old thing ain't digital! You oughta see the...the phones and stuff they've got back home!
[John is totally into the doom and gloom! It's just that...he likes friends. He hasn't had a lot of them.]
I'm keeping all my photographs nailed to the walls of my cabin. For, ya know, safekeeping. Display.
